01 Why do I need a Wasiat?
A wasiat allows the testator to record how their assets should be distributed after death, alongside distribution under Faraid.
Without a wasiat, appointing an executor and managing the estate can become complicated, time-consuming and costly.
02 Can I appoint SmartWriter as a witness?
Yes, you can appoint us as a witness.
However, WasiatKu reserves the right to charge up to a maximum of SGD 100 per witness for each wasiat processed.
03 Do you need a lawyer to prepare a wasiat?
In Singapore, the law does not require a wasiat to be prepared by a lawyer.
A wasiat is considered valid and enforceable when it is in writing, properly signed, and meets the relevant legal requirements.
04 Are online wasiat valid?
